About the club

Southern Bookcrafts is a club that caters for those interested in bookbinding at all levels, but primarily we are an amateur society that encourages the development of the craft of bookbinding and book restoration. To achieve this we provide workshops and courses for those new to the craft and by supporting Members’ personal projects by providing premises, tools and other facilities, and the most commonly used materials. It is also an opportunity for like-minded people to meet and chat in a relaxed environment.

The club is run by a voluntary committee of it’s members and is dedicated to running the club for the benefit of our members with the aim of providing a well equipped bindery and training at an affordable price, with membership and course prices only covering the costs of running the club.
